Meachum Clarke
As one of the next greatest influences in the World of Gospel Music and Music Ministry, an anointed minister, producer, songwriter, arranger, teacher, director, vocal coach, organist, instructor, and music leader, Meachum L. Clarke has molded nearly 30 years of musical
experience and ministry excellence into the start of what will be one of the most awesome pillars in music ministry for generations past, present, and to come!

Born in Lakeland, FL, Clarke began cultivating and developing his love for music at the early age of 5. By the time of high school, with the mastery of 10 instruments under his belt (piano, trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, tenor sax, baritone sax, bass clarinet,
percussion, and his principle instrument – TUBA), he served as Head Drum Major of the Lakeland Senior High School Dreadnaught Marching Band. Whether it was playing instruments, singing, or simply listening with great analysis, Meachum uncompromisingly
pursued the unwrapping and found the strength and passion to explore his musical gift and eventually began developing musicians, singers, and choirs; educating them on the importance of music ministry. His charismatic ability to respectfully transcend denominational divides to bring singers and musicians together in unity, focused for ONE purpose, affords him the great opportunities and venues to further develop ministry through music to be uncluttered and pure unto God. In conjunction with his scholastic endeavors, from age 8-18 he successfully managed to serve faithfully in his church as organist, choir director, administrator, along with many denominational positions.

Meachum went on to be accepted to Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University where he majored in Music Education. It was there also that Meachum, served as Music Director, President, and a Director of the FAMU Gospel Choir. Under his tenure there, the choir
accomplished many achievements to include singing with gospel artists such as James Hall, Dorothy Norwood, and also to appear on WORD NETWORK live from the Bobby Jones Gospel Industry Retreat in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in addition to traveling across the nation in ministry. As his understanding of music increased, so did his passion for pleasing God. Meachum began devoting more and more time to studying the bible and the kingdom assignment attached to his gift of music. God continued to develop and transition Meachum, both personally and within ministry. While a full-time student, he also balanced serving as Minister of Music at the Greater Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, under the pastor and maestro Dr. Craig P. Riley, while still fervently fulfilling his scholastic endeavors. After completing college in 2006, Meachum made the move from Tallahassee, FL. to Jacksonville. Certain of God’s directive, but
uncertain of what the outcome might be, Meachum decided to take a back road from his ministry journey. “This did not last long at all. It’s almost as if I was fighting with myself. I knew that God would not have called me to greatness and allow me to just sit back and
accept mediocrity.” While in search of a ministry covering, Meachum visited St. Paul Baptist Church and in 2006 was hired as the Minister of Worship.

As the Minister of Worship at the St. Paul Church of Jacksonville, FL, under the Spiritual Leadership of Dr. John E. Guns, Meachum revived a nearly depleted ministry of 20 singers and a few dancers into an amazing aggregation of a total of approximately 200+ singers,
musicians, actors, dancers, choreographers, poets and play writes. During that time, he also connected and served as the newly appointed Assistant International Overseer of Choirs for the FULL GOSPEL BAPTIST FELLOWSHIP under Bishop Paul S. Morton, alongside Bishop William Murphy III and Vashawn Mitchell. There, he has also written and been featured on the Stellar Award nomination album The KINGDOM SOUND.

In 2010, Meachum founded his very own recording gospel choir Meachum L. Clarke & TRUE PURPOSE which managed to captive the community with their unique sound, community service, but also the release of their 2 albums... GREATER (2015) and The Victory Experience (in 2017 which debuted at #3 on Billboard Top Gospel Charts). Now known as Meachum L. Clarke & COMPANY, this powerhouse sound of this amazing cornucopia of 45-voices and musicians continues to reverberate through Florida, the southeast, and throughout the world.
Along with his notable list of music and ministry accomplishments and distinctions, Clarke has accompany, collaborated with, and/or ministered before many remarkable musical artists, spanning a broad array of music, including James Hall, Karen Clark-Sheard, Steve
Lawrence, Sha’ Simpson, Bishop Hezekiah Walker, Dorothy Norwood, Sheri Jones-Moffit, Kathy Taylor, Vanessa Bell-Armstrong, S. Lamar Simmons, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Datisha “TiKi” Pickett, Jonathan Nelson, Shea Norman, Beverly Crawford, Marvin Sapp, Daryl Coley,
VaShawn Mitchell, Donnie McClurkin, Stephen Hurd, Tasha Cobbs, Byron Cage, Lawrence Flowers, Dr. Judith Christie- McAlister, Kim Burrell, Jason Nelson, Bishop L. Spencer Smith, Chrystal Rucker, Bishop Leonard Scott, Ricky Dillard, Maranda Curtis, Kirk Franklin, Mary
Mary, JJ Hairston, Richard Smallwood, and many other great music pioneers.
In addition to his ability to seamlessly bridge the gaps between tradition and contemporary gospel, classical training, fundamentals of voice, and hymns, He is greatly known for his unparalleled ministry structure development, choir training, Levitical training, worship expositories, and leadership capacity. Currently, Meachum Clarke serves as the Pastor of Worship & Creative Arts at The Bethel Church where Bishop Rudolph W. McKissick Jr is the lead pastor. Having been at The Bethel Church for almost 10 years, he has miraculously
synergized and ignited the ministry to well over 400+ worship creatives in the areas of music, dance, audio/video, marketing, media, and drama. He has also contributed great creativity to other artists and projects such as Bishop Rudolph W. McKissick Jr & The Word and Worship MASS CHOIR “THE RECOVERY” where he was vocal producer, Fantasia’s album “Sketch” where he his choir are featured on the track “Fighting”, Sean Tillery & Changed’s upcoming album, in addition to 3 successful instrumental albums of his own entitled, “Sacred Sessions”.
Meachum accepts and understands his true purpose and that he is, first and foremost, called to live a life pleasing and fulfilling the plans God has set for him with extreme humility 1 Peter 5:6 that states, “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time”. It is with this maturity and focus that solidifies the platform and bolsters Clarke’s sure global success. “All gifts are given, BY GOD, to influence the earth, to clearly and evidently demonstrate a move of God which is to bring Glory to his omnipotence. The gift, itself, is a Godly provision in helping you produce greater glory for his name sake. So it should be guarded, perfected, sharpened, and exclusively sanctioned for His purpose!” – Meachum L. Clarke
